זהו ספר קסום על ילדה מתוקה שיום בהיר אחד כל חייה משתנים בעקבות סופת טורנדו אשר מעיפה אותה ואת כלבה "טוטו" לארץ רחוקה ושמה "עוץ". למי מכם שעוד לא ראה את הסרט- אני ממליצה בחום. היזהרו!השירים מדבקים והסרט מעורר רצון עז לדלג על שביל של אבנים צהובות (אם אפשר בנעליים אדומות ומנצנצות, מה טוב!!)
אפרופו נעליים אדומות, לפני כשנתיים (שנה אחת לפני חגיגות ה70 לרגל צאת העיבוד הקולנועי לספר "הקוסם...") החליטו לערוך מכירה פומבית, ובה, יימכרו עשרות נעליים אדומות, המדמות את נעליה של דורותי, אשר עוצבו ע"י מיטב מעצבי הנעליים. ביניהן: ג'ימי צ'ו, אוסקר דה לה רנטה ומוסקינו.
Who has not heard of "the wizard of oz"? Probably most of you are more familiar with the cinema version that was publicized 71 years ago.
It is a beautiful story of a sweet girl that one day her whole life turns up side down due to a tornado which blows her and her beloved dog "Toto" away to the land of "Oz". To those of who have not seen the movie yet- I truly recommend it.
Beware!! The songs are contagious and the movie gives you a strange urge to skip down a yellow brick road (and if it's possible i would tell you to do so with ruby red slippers!!!)
Speaking of which; Two years ago, in preparation of celebrating 70 years to the making of the movie, a few designers were asked to design ruby red slippers, imitating Dorothy's famous ones, in order to auction them off at a special event.
amongst the famous designers were: Jimmy Choo, Oscar De La Renta and Moschino.
חוץ מזה, לכבוד החגיגות, חיפשתי צילומי אופנה\ תצוגות אופנה וכל העולה בחיפושי גוגל מהשם "הקוסם מארץ עוץ"! בין כל תוצאות החיפוש, מצאתי צילומים של הצלמת בעלת הדמיון הכי פרוע, הלא היא אנני לייבוביץ', יהודיה מבית טוב אשר יוצרת תמיד, פעם אחר פעם את האימג'ים הכי סוריאליסטים ומהפנטים. התמונות הללו פשוט מדהימות, אני מקווה שתהנו מהן כפי שאני נהניתי.
הצילומים נערכו לכבוד המגזין ווג בשנת 2005. (אני ממליצה לכם להיכנס לויקיפדיה ולקרוא את תקציר הספר ע"מ להבין את המתרחש בתמונה).
Besides that, in honor of the celebrations, I searched the web for fashion photo's\ runways regarding the movie. Amongst the results, I found shoots of the photographer with the biggest imagination, she is none other than Annie Leibovitch. A well brought Jewish girl, that always delivers and brings you the most surreal and hypnotizing images.
These pictures are absolutely amazing, and I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I did.
They were taken for VOGUE magazine in 2005. (I recommend to look up in Wikipedia "the wizard of Oz" and read the summary of the story in order to understand the order of the photos).

נעליה האדומות של דורותי בגודל של כ2 מטרים מוצגים מול מוזיאיון מאדאם טוסו ברחוב 42 במנהטן ב-13 ביולי לכבוד יציאת הסרט בעיבוד חדש.
Dorothy's ruby red slippers are blown up to about six feet and are shown outside of the Madame Tussauds museum on 42 street, on july 13, in order to celebrate the launch of the "Wizard of Oz" 4d experience.
